Coach Gino Myers-Kyles

professional sports trainer & college coach, specializing in basketball skills development & performance training.

Coaching Career

Gino began his coaching career as an assistant coach & director of player development at Spring Hill College in Mobile, helping the Badgers achieve multiple 20-win seasons and a conference tournament appearance.


He then joined Marion Military Institute in Marion, Ala., as the lead assistant basketball coach & director of player development. There he was instrumental in building powerhouse recruiting classes and multiple state tournament appearances.


Following his stint at Marion, Myers-Kyles joined BRCC (Baton Rouge Community College) where he was a player development coach.


After leaving Baton Rouge, Coach Gino began a

professional development career in the ABA (American Basketball Association) with the Mobile Bay Tornadoes. Serving as the director of player development.


After years of work in the ABA Coach Gino landed his first Head Coaching job at ECCC (East Central Community College) in Decatur, MS.

 


 

Gino has also worked with Adidas Grassroots Gauntlet, Nike Elite Youth Basketball, and USA Youth Basketball in developing grassroots programs where young athletes improve their fundamental skills and also gain college and pro exposure.

Playing Career

Gino prepped at Williamson High School in Mobile,Ala., where he earned Class 5A All-State honors and was one of Alabama's top prep recruits. He was selected to the All-State team, & All-Region Team & won multiple Optimist Club awards, and achieved Class 5A All-Academic Athlete honors.


After his senior season at Williamson, Gino joined Faulkner State Sun Chiefs in Ala., (now known as Coastal Alabama), where he led his team to a conference championship and a top-5 national ranking.


Gino continued his playing career at NCAA Division I Eastern Illinois University and was recognized as one of the OVC (Ohio Valley Conference) Top Recruits !
